I think its old repro decals aged.
The swastika is offset in the white circle and the runes do not have the correct construction. I'm leaning towards an original Heer DD modified to SS in the 1970s.
( Just my opinion ....... )

I am no expert by any means but to me the decals look to be artificially aged. The wear patterns on the decals do not match the rest of the helmet. Bob

Decals are definitely bad.

Old fake decals....not liking the shiny silver liner pin head on the left side....Red liner with no string(Norwegian?)...no chinstrap. Definitely Not worth the investment.

Hi, artificial wear on bad decals to deceive.

A thumbs down from me as well, the runic decal especially resembles no known design in it's details. Leon.

Hi could anyone tell me if this helmet is real or not?
I know the liner has been out due to the pins. But other than that I have no idea. The national shield decal looks to have shrunk with age? And the ss decal appears to be metallic when I look under a magnifying glass.
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks
Bad. That rivet on the side is a dead give away. It looks like one of those Finnish re-issues from International Military Antiques. Totally different liner system from an original issue.
