Got offered this really nice Camo. SS-helmet.

Hello all,
This is my first post on this cool page :-)
A collector friend of mine, from whom i got alot of nice original things, offered me this nice SS-helmet. Any thoughts of it ? The paint looks almost too new I think, but I am not very familiar with helmets.

from the damage on the SS decal it almost looks like its made of paper !!!!

Thanks guys for your input. I have written back and told him that I am not interested. At least I'll be getting an SS-arm adler and insignia, and they are genuine.

that is crazy especially paper ones they wouldn't stand the test of time but then i guess once the faker has his money it doesn't matter to him how long it lasts

Yes fake and the runic decal has had the left break torn off as this is a key reference point. As Ade says I would be checking out closely the entire lot of goods you are getting from this source just to be sure.

Strange that you had to check the originality of this helmet , if your friend owns such heaps of original stuff surely he would have told you " hey wanna buy my easy to spot fake SS " ?
