happy collecting from new member

Article about: I saw one of these tags in a made up black helmet about ten years ago at the Max Show. They evidently did not fool anyone as that was the only example I ever saw.

The diplomatic service was a branch of the regular government, i.e. the German Reich, and not the NSDAP. Hence, its regalia would not have been regulated by the RZM, which existed for the party and its branches and affiliates.

Mr. Doug B has the reigning SS helmet collection, and I am unaware of a tag for helmets as for cloth headwear or other items of clothing.

You are correct F-B - no RZM tag for SS helmets. Sadly a collection of fakes and fantasies.

I have added in the SS arena a long thread on RZM tags in SS items of mostly cloth type.
This resource is unique, as are Mr. Doug B's collection of real helmets.
RZM tags have been faked in various forms since at least the 1960s, and, in fact, they were faked in the 1930s. A real fake from the 1930s would be a pretty rare thing.

An example of the commercially produced SS RZM helmet F-B speaks. As you can see no RZM tags but stamped. Note the flaw in the stamping, a critical sign of a real SS RZM stamp.
