I inherited a NS62 German Helmet - Can anyone tell me what I have?

Article about: My dad was in the war and all I remember him telling me is that he took this helmet off a fallen soldier and hand carried it back. On the inside leather liner he inscribed (in pencil) "

    Welcome to the forum, as said a very nice double decal M35 HEER helmet in super condition. The chinstrap is probably made by KLATAU from the letters you can see. Keep it in the family, you can never replace your heritage! Leon.

    Indeed it is stunning, and the way the liner drawstring is laced is something we see sometimes and wonder about.
    This confirms it was done at the time by soldiers.

    Thanks for the additional pictures! I can see the dome (acceptance) stamp.

    I think the crowd here has given this an enthusiastic two thumbs up. An absolute cracking lid! And as everyone has said.....KEEP IT in the family. The monetary value is second to the family value!
