    Hi guys

Yesterday I bought a few German steel helmets. I also took a gamble on what I see as a good deal.
This guy has been to Latvia some times and stumbled over this ground dig SS helmet.
Whether or not it's an original or not I think it's quite cool looking

    What do you guys think?

i agree its quite a cool looking piece ,im struggling to understand how decal's can be sustained considering the overall condition of these ground dug relics but yours seems to contradict this showing plenty of the decal

Thought the same James, I don't know how the decals can be still intact.

Enjoy it while you can as rusty stuff will continue to flake away.
That crown is more rust than steel but for 21 euros you didn't spend a lot.

Hi, looks like you have found a good one to me, just needs to be kept in a zero humidity environment otherwise it will end up as dust pretty quickly. Leon.

Used to find these in the forest and they would almost fall apart when handled but it is a good one . As for the decal it is not uncommon for the decal to actually survive beter than the steel !!
