Locked threads , why ?? Famous ch ss helmet
I am new here & wanted to understand why a very interesting thread in regards to CH Rune decals was locked.
The title was: "My Famous CH SS Helmet" posted about a year ago.
After reading about 5 pages on what I viewed intelligent responses/replies..it was suddenly "Locked". Something about tempers flying. I observed no insults, derogatory statements, profanity.
Are there certain topics here that are "Off Limits" to discuss ? I read a thread posted yesterday which though entertaining...I observed more "tempers flying" & saw the thread was not put on "Lock Down"
I had wanted to add some info/opinion on the above topic but could not (CH RUNES). Any explanation might clear up my confusion or misunderstanding.
Was thinking of presenting a new thread on a topic that has been "Beat to the ground" (CH Runes) but I don't want to waste my time if it is going to be deleted or "Locked Down"

When a Thread is going downhill, off-topic and personal, it's often best to close the Thread and move on...Otherwise it's a never-ending back and forth that helps nobody...You're not obligated to entertain someone's personal grudges on your own Thread, and the Moderators will -usually- step in as well to close the thread once it's gone past the point of no return, lol...Sometimes the Offending Posts will have been removed...
I suggest starting your own Thread on the Topic you're referring to...
cheers, Glenn

Hi Glenn.
Okay. I understand. But I did not really observe that getting too out of hand.
Maybe I was not catching the drift that it was.

I believe more than a few posts in that thread were deleted

Did not know. I read it for the first time yesterday.
I enjoy reading old threads/topics. I get to learn that way. There is a lot of good, useful information stashed away in old threads.
