M35 SS dd helmet - subtle camo?

Article about: by radidas I'm can't add anything about the decals but the paint on the liner pins is not right, they stand out like a sore thumb! Pins are fine and not unusual on an M35 Q helmet.

It was the lack of camo paint that bothered me, Samir, especially on the rear pin. Looking again at the photos I can't say for sure if there is any of the camo scheme on the other two?. Maybe it is just my eyes. If they look ok to you, I look forward to the outcome on this one.

Happy new year by the way

Alot of mixed signals with this lid....decals, camo, rivets, combine for alot of contradicting and unanswered questions. Poor pix never further the cause either.

Here's a similar M35 Q helmet. This one is original and untouched. Note the pins.

Point taken with the pins, Samir
I guess with a finish like that on them the camo paint would not bind well and be easily disturbed through use?

I had a Q '35 Luft with the same issue. Pin colour was slightly different and the paint didn't adhere well to them.

I believe Q is one of mine Samir!

Yes the pins can be a different color, but there should still be some camo paint on them in some fashion in particular in the crevices of original paint.

Doug, you still own this one? I saved the pics when Peter posted it. Cant recall exactly when.
