No actually I thought the lid looked familiar and checked Kens site, then was browsing WAF and saw them there too, then saw your email! Check the time stamps ;-)
Anyway I understand Max owns it and it suffered bad reviews elsewhere.
Yes I see that. It was unfairly trashed here.

But it's a lesson that good photos are required when showing a helmet especially an SS helmet. Photos can make or break a helmet on a forum. Also a lot of chatter about the bullet strikes. They add zero to the authenticity. But Max I would stay away from any stories about them, it is what it is and nothing can be proven either way. Let collectors leave it to their imagination.
In any case I figured out the jigsaw puzzle finally thanks Samir and Max!
Hi Samir,
I was not treated well at all on that sight, lots of people with nothing but negative and nasty things to say. They tore apart a full basket chicken wire helmet i have.
I wound up with a foes list of 5 people in less then a week. I have a better pic of the decal I could send to your e mail. I feel the helmet is real and was sick of them telling me it was not.

Yes, I saw that, but when collecting SS helmets good photography is very important. As Doug said earlier, "it can make or break a helmet".
Your very lucky Doug chimed in and provided his expertise on SS decals. When it comes to SS helmets Doug is known as the "Yoda" of SS helmets especially when it comes to SS decals. So now that you know, re-do your pics and post it up in a seperate thread, good luck & congrads on your genuine SS helmet.
Regards
Samir
Upright and straight-on.........

Thanks Steve, I had trouble trying to rotate it.
