Agree with you William, do you remember inside of the SS helmet with PF numer of "Prinz Eugen" this one was found on the same place.

I was trying to make better photos of the decal but my camera didnt want to focus perfectly. I dont have my macro lens in the house. Will try do to better photos of the decal.

Trust me guys, the condition of ground dug /lake/mud find helmets can be very strange. Ive seen a helmet with more than 50% of the metal gone but the leather and chinstrap were almost 100%. Not commenting on this one.

Hi, even though your new decal image is not straight on, I actually think that you may have a Quist helmet and decal there and not an ET or "fat runes"? The left rune appears to be slightly wider than the right as it should be on a Quist, also the runes finish below the break of the shield as a Quist decal should. If it were trying to be ET it would be all wrong but I think that it stands a chance of being a good Quist. Leon.

Hi, defiantly not an EF for me, EF decals have a soft break, yours is sharp. I still think it is a Quist. Is that a Q66 stamping next to the rear lot number or just a trick of the light? Leon.

All said and done, I'd say it's a good helmet.
