M42 SS singel decal

Hello, can someone give some advice on this lid please?

Liner looks period to me. I can't read the numbers very well, but they are there.
Opinions on the decal please.

I can only offer you my gut feeling which is bad. It's a very very close one for my eyes but I've never handled an SS lid....

Not necessarily. Just because a decal has the correct traits to a certain maker doesn't necessarily mean its a genuine SS.

I don't like the decal on this one. IMO, Its a reproduction. It has a few red flags. I highly advise you steer clear of this one.

From the photos provided this one is bad.

Im thinking this could be a repainted Norwegian helmet, there is paint inside the pitting , the general condition of the paint differs in places and the liner looks to have a lot of red thats been dulled back or attempts to remove, If that is the case then the decal is suspect and is an aged fake, but i would wait for more comments

I believe its bad! I bought a transitional helmet with the same style decal.
