M42 -SS Wintertarn Helmet - Real?

Hello All,
I was just wondering if this helmet is authentic or not. I have no idea, so I wanted to post it here to get opinions, I only have these three pictures. Also how much does this helmet generally go for without inner lining ? Any help will be appreciated.

an attempt to de-nazify the helmet? it kinda looks like thats just something someone has added using MS Paint, possibly because the seller doesnt want to display offensive symbols?

Done with "Paint" or "Photoshop" so they can try and sell in Germany etc...

I was only teasing about why someone would cross out the
SS runes. Does that offend somebody in this forum? I doubt it!
