Opinion M40 SS camo helmet

I do not have a good felling about this helmet and I am not running to get it,but better make sure.
IT is a ET64 serial 605 M40

I may be wrong,of course, but I rather Like this one. The crud around the liner ring looks authentic and the paint actually looks period,to me,anyway. It looks to have wear where the chinstrap would have rested on the visor. William

From those photos the runic decal looks like a roundbottom fake but is so far away and distorted as to be difficult to be sure. Lot nr is perfect for an M40 SS ET. Looks heavily cleaned with a liberated decal at best and liner replaced or perhaps a fake liner popped in, or just a bad fake at worse.

Far better photos are needed.

I agree with doug about the helmet being cleaned. The decal just doesnt look like a paint around. The liner for me looks to clean for the helmet, and the damage and pulled thread is there just for character building. Hopefully we see more pics!

Well I still have not received any pictures from the seller and now I see it for sale on E-bay.
I do not think I will get any pictures.So we all know what that means.
