Doesn't look flaky to me. Looks more like nicks n scratches. I think this Q was applied with lacquer. I like it.

I appreciate all the input guys. I was thinking of selling this to finance another purchase and I wanted to make sure there were no issues with it before I do. I know where it has been for many years so I was very confident that it was good but it never hurts to be carefull
