Hard to tell from the pictures. Get a straight shot of the decal and if possible the maker/size stamp. From the pictures you posted it looks like it has a chance, but....

Seller said the rim has oxidized to the point that there is no visible markings. He wants £800 so a lot to waste on a fake.

The paint is new and over pitting... The liner is in great shape in comparison to the helmet... Decal is supposed to be a "Q?" hmmmmm, all the way around... Wouldn't be one for me Sir..
