Please judge this rusty SS Helmet

Article about: Hello. Here is a terribly damaged SS Helmet. You can barely see the decal and it doesn't have a liner or anything inside. All this being said, is it worth \\$100 USD? I'd like to buy it becaus

Thank you for the info, gentlemen. I truly appreciate it. Do you think it's worth me asking the seller to send some clear close ups of the decal or is there no way this is authentic? Thank you.

It never hurts to ask for closer and clearer photos -especially of the decal, of course, but I cannot see how there could have been rust pock marks Beneath the decal. In this case, as has been said, it appears to have been obviously applied Over rust pits, so not a good indication of authenticity...

Absolutely, it would propably solve the question regarding why the decal looks like it´s been applied on a rusty helmet.

Here is a close up of the decal. Still bad news? What am I looking for so I can learn to spot these issues in the future? Thank you!

Im no expert on the SS decal itself but as you ceratinly can see for yourself the decal is placed on the rusty surface and in the uppermost left corner ´the silver clearly goes into the pit caused by the rust. The rust is also very different outside the decal than inside of it.

Sorry to say, but the new photos just confirm the earlier opinions on this one....
