I just noticed the decal has a break, could it be an NS SS decal on an hkp M42 shell? That is no ET decal for sure.

P.S Ask the seller to adjust the color in the camera, that yellow is gonna give me cataracts if I stare any longer.

Some of the worst photos to judge a helmet by are ones that do not show the true colors of the helmet like this one. It looks like the helmet is in a jar of pee. (sorry I know thats gross but its what it looks like...)

A couple of things, while the decal appears graphically correct I have no record of an ET stamped M42 with factory applied ET SS decals and the decal appears to be applied over rust and doesn't appear to have the construction and qualities of a real one. I would pass based upon these photos and what I see so far.

Thanks guys for the help I am eager to learn. The decal looks pretty authentic to me but I am just beginning to learn about stalhelms. The thing that confused me most is what Doug mentioned it looks like there is rust under the decal, and it looks like the color of a m35 in the pictures.

Fake helmet but the decal is not the common repro.

I would pass on this one for sure.
The decal is incorrect and it does look to have been put over rust.
I also think this could be a old fake decal .
