I have one very similar to your except mine has " beautiful " markings and is a double decal!!! Thankfully I only paid $100 for it!! What would you do with this masterpiece??? LOL.

Nice one the decal is in the same place as the one that was on mine, i only paid less than 20 euro for it, so i will make on it no matter what, i would sand yours down too for another 100 if you want LOL

I will probably sand mine as well, but it has already been identified as worthless! Made in Spain and used in no wars....SPAIN MODELO Z shell

I got one of those as well on my first buy but the guy told me it was used by the Polish, i still took it, as it looked close enough to the German ones

Lol - Makes me cringe every time you guys use the word 'sand' !

Please, for my sanity, do not 'sand' any more helmets - especially
if they are potentially good ones, as sanding will quickly remove
too much material - taking original paint and decal
details with it......... !

I understand that it is best to leave them as is, i especially have a little doubt that the decal, which i sanded could have been o.k, the runes were raised a bit above the paint, but thats the way it goes, some you win some you lose, but in Sams case i would leave as is, even for battle reenactments it could do well.
