Re: SS Camo with wire!
I have not seen the other thread so here's my 2 pence.
The paint/lacquer shows no immediate sign of cracks associated with many years of exposure to heat and the drying of the old protective finish. The decal looks ok to me.... maybe an original decal (unapplied dealer purchase) that has been covered by a fresh finish to disguse the fact it is new.
What did it feel like in hand mate?
Cheers
Dan

Re: SS Camo with wire!
Well there you go, my instinct is getting better. That lacquer/finish looks like it was applied this morning!

Re: SS Camo with wire!
The first thing taht comes to mind is ss helmets mostly had their ss covers and there was no need for this further camo on them.THIS WOULD IMEDIATELY IN MOST COLLCETORS BE VERY ODD AND CAUTION WOULD HAVE TO BE PAID TO A HELMET LIKE THAT.

Re: SS Camo with wire!
Hi John, it is truly bad.
What I don't like is that the seller now knows it is bad, but continues to offer it to other people as original.
Cheers, Ade.
