I'm looking at the bottom of the shield above and it appears to be round rather than pointed, but wait for a few more opinions

Agree with Dave - round bottom fake + the inks are too bright compared to the "relic-ness" of the resto the helmet.
My take would be applied and weathered fakeroos .......

I thought a Double decal M42 was a no no, think I've seen a double decal Police M42, but that is it.

They are very rare, but there are some out there. Most are in the reverse decal configuration, but a very small percentage of them do have the runes on the right and the party shield on the left. Sadly, this one is not an original example. Jim G.

M42 DD SS are beyond rare and need to survive extremely close scrutiny. This as Jim has said is not one of them.

Sorry, i have to agree that these are decals are wrong,the right side rune looks slightly smaller than the left to me.The national shield also as already said is too "bright",and has not been applied straight although that can happen.

Thanks guys...I thought the same which means my eyes are getting better at spotting but again wanted the Jedi opinions. The best giveaway is the liner....it's on ebay at the moment if you need to see the liner... Will be putting another on later as it seems i cant stop buying lids at the moment.
