The way in which I have found is the best way to learn how to spot fake helmets is to buy an original and study it with unflagging resolve. If you are worried about buying a fake, then just get one from a reliable source.

Ahhh, the old SS mine field....................picked #3 bases on a appearance, characteristics, and a guess. Would not have guessed with multiple thousands of dollars on the line though.

I hate to admit it, but after taking a second look, number 2 looks good too.

I'm starting to lean towards number 2 as being good. The pulver is convincing unlike number 3, and I think the photo has been strectched to throw people off, so i'm withdrawing my original vote and I say 2 is the good one!

I see what you are saying about the pulver. Number 3 is starting to not look right to me either. and plus, there is no way Doug would make it that easy for us... Something is going on here... I don't know.... It just seems all too easy, I have no bloody idea which one it is! I'm 50/50 between 2 and 3. Number 3 just seems to me to be "too textbook"....if you know what I'm saying. hmmmmmmmmm.................?!!!???!!!
