Hi Andy, a real nice one, looks like the pre-40 ET runic decal used as well judging by the timing and thicker border. .....and yes they are very addicting! My compliments on your first one! The next needs to be a DD M35 ;-)

Oh yeah. I'm addicted like a crack addict. I bought 2 this month alone, nothing special, an ET M40 and an EFM42, and what fuels my addiction even more is reading about their experience in combat. Lots of these guys were interesting characters, not to mention total nut cases.

Andy has graciously allowed me to butt in on this thread and show the photos I took of this helmet during the time I had it in my possession. Besides, who doesn't love more photos?!

In a way I guess you could say this was my first SS helmet, even though I was only giving it a temporary home.

Here was the helmet as it sat in my collection while Andy robbed banks to make payments to me. Glad I didn't have to come over there and break his knee caps.

Andy had to delay me shipping the helmet so many times that I actually took it on vacation with me two weeks ago and shipped it from the beach, so there might still be some East Coast beach sand on the box.

You should have seen the look I got from the wife when I carried the box out of the house just as we were about to hit the road. Somehow I managed to fit it in the already jammed packed Pilot. And, man did I get some looks from the beach goers when I was taking photos of a box on the beach. There might have been some calls to the Terrorist Tip Line during that photo session.

In the end, it made it to Andy safe and sound and that's the most important thing. His to enjoy now, he earned it.

I'm amazed it arrived at all, the box looked to be a bit worse for wear when I last saw it!
