Article about: Hi All From Down Under! Can anyone give an Aussie some advice on the following Helmet. I have been offered it but am new to this and unsure if it is a real McCoy. Appreciate any help, Regard

    Hi Geoff, for of all welcome to the forum!

    This is a complete post war rebuild job. (i.e. a fake)

    Look at the artificial wear to the paint done with sandpaper. The liner is also new. Of course, the decals are bad.

    As a general rule, double decal M40's are very rare to find.

    It's a bad decals , the party shield is bad even for reenactors

    wow even i knew that was bad & i know diddly squat about these things glad the guys could help you out & save you some of your hard earned cash, keep looking you'll find a good one sooner or later & as Ade said the guys here will always help out if your not sure good luck
