SS Helmet?

Hi guys,

I'm wondering if you could help me ascertain if this helmet is genuine or not. It was bought 15 years ago in Belguim.

at a glance, I see improper decal construction. It is like it was printed in one layer as opposed to the original construction of a decal, which was constructed in layers, according to the methods of production at that time.
I do not see the shine through of the base color on the damaged areas, nor do I see consistent wear overall with the decal itself and the damage to the paint surface .
However, bear in mind, that I have written no books, and do not declare myself an authority of any kind.
Usually the details tell a lot of the story.

Im no expert either, but wouldn't the white color in the decal be more yellow after 60 years?

I don't like the 'saw-tooth' effect down the side of the rune when you zoom in on the decal close up..
