SS Helmet

One of my first items.

I had this in my introduction post but thought it would be better to post it here with better Pictures of the decal.

I received a box of items I´m trying to figure out if they are original or not.

This is an SS helmet. It Looks like the stamps are original but I read through some Posts and it seems there are a ton of fakes.

Please advise if this is a real SS decal helmet or not.

Sorry mate but that is not an Original SS decal.
You would like to have a EF or hkp marked M42 or a ET of ckl marked M42 SS helmet.

The decal is a reproduction & the exterior paint appears post war applied.
Helmet shell & liner are original. NS 64 stamped on the side, it left the factory with a decal most likely, either a Luft. eagle or a Heer decal. I cannot tell what color the interior paint is to determine which though the paint looks feldgrau more than blue.

Just to add. NS helmet + SS decal = Fake.

Possibly a 'round bottom' fake decal. The lower-most area
of the shield is scratched at the exact spot where
a pointed tip would be.........

Hi, just adding my total agreement with the fella's, sadly that is not a genuine SS decal, it's trying to be an ET, but is on the wrong maker of helmet anyway. Leon.
