Not even close. There are almost too many problems with this one to list - the decals, the paint, the liner, the chin strap, the absence of chin strap bales, an M40 shell... Thank the seller and part ways.
I figured as much but the one time I turn something down as fake, it will turn out to be authentic.

Always! In the meanwhile, this SS helmet would make a fine hanging pot for a small hydrangea plant...by anton67

Perfect reason why I don't collect SS..too much garbage to sift through. Even a Hydrangea deserves better then this!!
