SS Helmet bought in small Russian village

Here is a helmet bougt in a small Russian village. It is the only 2 pics i have at the moment. What do you think? Face is blurred because it is not me wearing it. I can send interested people pics in full resolution if needed. It is possible to get real good close-ups of decal on strap in full res. I of course wonder if it is a fake.

Hi Datrus as said above it is nigh impossible to give any worthwhile opinion of the helmet with these 2 photos. Closeups are a must of the decals, the chinstrap, interior, both profiles, the top and the interior. So about 8 good photos are needed to give you any opinion.

I will look into it DougB. The Helmet is in the Datcha (summer house) but not too far from Moscow. The blurry faced guy is one of my friends, and i did not want to post him on the forum

Your wife is beautiful my compliments Datrus.

The helmet is an M40 DD SS, which puts it among the rarest of the DD SS if it is in fact real. That said it is one of the most heavily faked as well. Looking forward to more pics!
