    Hi guys,
    This popped up at my local auction house and was just wondering what it is? i know its probably a fake, but on the off chance it isnt, would love to know what it was and what the cross meant? This is the only picture i have at the moment and i know its terrible haha but i can get more when i have a proper look at it tomorrow when i go in

    It appears to be inspired by the "arrow cross" [nyilaskereszt] used as a symbol by the Hungarian fascists.

    This is probably offered as an alleged helmet for one of the three Hungarian Waffen-SS divisions, in whose divisional shields the symbol was also used. (Although it is not even certain that their shield designs actually existed during the period.)

    I don't believe in this piece at all.
