Anytime there is a fake helmet being sold as an original, but with a unusually low price, it makes me think the seller knows it is fake and is trying to cover it up with a tempting price.

SE M40 are rare in the extreme, and would be severely scrutinized as would any SE SS helmet. I've owned one over the course of time and foolishly traded it away a long time ago to a Norwegian collector as the helmet had serious provenance to the SS leadership in Norway. As SE didn't have a resident decal it makes for a very serious examination to ensure authenticity on one.

Exactly my thinking on the helmet.The guy selling this swill thinks hes a smart ass or he is a guy who knows zip on german items.No matter garbage is garbage.
