    Its actually the bad shot the seller took that made it look good, but otherwise it wasn't that hard at all.

    Indeed - and stranger still, the outside surface is badly rusted,
    pitted and pock marked, but the inside is MINT.........!

    Doug, are dome stamps with that phrase, 'fuer Heer u. Marine', found in original SS helmets?

    This would be pre-1940 and not many SS M35s (the vast majority being ET and Q) have a domestamp but the rare ones that do I have seen this yes. Here is an interesting topic by 2 noted long time collectors and helmet book authors Ken N and Terry G.

    100% fake. You can even see where the decal was covered when they added the new paint (!)
