    So my opinion is a good one, but what was the scratched at the left side?

    Former Heer reissued late war to the SS? The pocher decals were very often field applied and were readily available. I have a double runic (in the Beaver/Hicks book) that is an ET with the correct ET runic shield on the right and a pocher runic shield, field applied,on the left. Yours is a one looker as far as I am concerned. Nice piece. Jim Geanuracos

    Thank you for your opinion, I'am totally forgot about possible re-issue, even I have a couple of police/heer and heer/luftwaffe re-issue...
    Simply on the Eastern front I seen some SS helmets re-issue, but there was a SS runes shield applied over the swastika side. The seen Heeres helmets on the SS volunteers heads, who fought in the Ostfront was easily untouched Heeres helmets, or at least with ugly hand painted markings, which was only 1% from that reissue, IMO...

    Nice and very salty combat lid , i really like the decal , pity you didn't have it two days ago !!

    What did it get hit by to dent it like that i wonder?I would'nt like to have been wearing it at the time
