A respectable single decal M38 all original averages about $6000-7000 USD. You can find a late war, no decal in 85%-90% condition for $4K-$4500 USD. Hardly the price of a Knight's Cross, but still a significant amount for a helmet.

a no decal fallschirmjager helmet is like $4000 in that range and signle decal $6000-10000, but DD helmets are like $15000 and camo helmets $15000_17500.

That means...these guys are rich!!!
Even the stuff lying on the ground would make good money these days.....
I concur. There was no Waffen-SS paratrooper division.
No SS division sized unit, but there was the 500th SS Parachute penal battalion that did see parachute/glider assault use in the 1944 attack on Tito's Partisan HQ in Yugoslavia-all equipment used by them was standard Luftwaffe paratroop stuff as it was a small unit in existence for a relatively short time.
The chicken wire is not the type that was used during the war.
Mart
The SS Fallschirmjäger Bataillon 500 was equipt by the Luftwaffe. The paratrooper helmets of this unit ever had luftwaffen decals
