That is bad yes I agree. Should not be in our classifieds.

Thanks a lot guys

IMO it is a good decal, the problem as other can see- is a " digital print" like runes, but it is done due of the cover was on the helmet, and the helmet was in very wet place, the decal became soft and the part of the decal's finishing is glued to the cover in the time where the cover was still not rotten on the helmet. The rest of the decal show the traces of the cover too, not just the black finish of the decal.

That is something to remember. Thank you for the info mate.

Dimas, from the shape of the shield I have to stand by my earlier opinion. That said the photos are not the best and are taken at a poor angle. Relics all need to be examined in hand. I trust no SS relics that are not identifiable in less than 5 seconds, 99% of them are fake.
Just my 2 cents,
Cheers

Appears to me that the decal was applied over the corrosion?
Hi Phil, yes that is the case, and appears to be the case here. There is only 1 highly unusual variant with 3 known samples on early SS-SD helmets that differs from anything I've seen before.
Dimas may be correct but this helmet should be 100% identifiable as an SS before it sells on a public forum, IMO. I cannot give it a thumbs up based on whats been shown thus far.
