    Looks like you put time, effort and money into this Andy. I'm not usually one for reconditioning relics but this has to be the best and most thoughtful job Iv'e seen on one. Well done.

    i agree totally, i only have one ss item in my small collection{thank you jason}, this would be a very welcome one if i owned it , congratulations on your sympathetic hard work, george w

    I totally agree with other members, the work is excellent done but I prefer at 100% to leave my lids "as is" doing only something in order to prevent corrosion and rust with alterate anything.
    In any case you choosed a perfect liner wich fits perfectlt with the era and status helmet! many compliments!

    Great job Andy, a nice addition to any collection for those of us who'd like an SS lid but can't or won't shell out the $10000 required. You've made wise and considered choices and should be justifiably proud.
