Supposedly SS EF 62 M40

Article about: Dear experts, I would like to ask your opinion about this helmet. I am not a specialist, so I checked only the common things: the leftovers of decal have a bright metal shine in some parts,

In black and white you can see the shadow of each a little bit more easily Attachment 1315503
One SS decal removed with the white wash and substituted by another one maybe?

Really, it’s impossible to tell but I like all helmets as individual pieces as they all have their own story to tell.

If you do really want an SS helmet save up and get 100% proven example - it will be worth the extra time and patience in the long run.

Sorry for coming back to old subject, but I finally managed to get new toy -USB microscope Of course, I decided to check the decal residuals on this helmet. Here I am attaching the pictures of it. Yes, it is almost nothing left, so it was not easy to find spots for pictures, also pulver has very bright shine, so I tried to use less light to catch it on some shots. Regardless of possible other decal shadow, what do you think of the construction?

Your USB close-up photos are too small , you need them twice as big. Also play with the sharpness and light. Best full led light.
I see this a lot with people buying a scope that the quality is lacking , it can just be the settings or it can be the scope itself.

Looks like this is maximum what I can get from this scope with all the tweaks and adjustments, although it supposed to be up to X1000
I found the setting for bigger resolution output, and used maximum of LED light, but unfortunately sharpness is still poor. I noticed several things although: looks like decal consists of 3 layers: black, silver pulver and beige layer, which maybe is cellulose (?). Decal is very thin almost like painted. The borders on survived areas looks straight without zigzags (difficult to catch on the pictures). Pulver is very shiny, almost like chrome, although it is a different shade. The traces on the vent hole border and near decal appeared to be white paint.

There are two pieces left of the border you zoomed in on on the lower setting. Can you do them again with highest magnification (how much can your scope handle ?)

Frank, I was not sure which pieces of border you meant (lower setting of decal or my previous post), so I tried to take both.
So here is the piece of upper border:

Here are the pieces of lower left border. Please, note, the thickness of it.

And finally, I would like to show some similarities with EF decal, picture of which I took from germanhelmetvault.com (hope you dont mind):
thicker border in lower part, thinner upper border on some of examples, similar damage of left upper corner, when only the border stays, but the inner part is falling out (not presented on this picture) and similar smashing of decal (this could be pure coicidence though)
