    I would be very careful with the assumptions these are Dutch SS volunteers. Its an easy trap for fakers to take advantage of people who want an SS helmet at any cost. These are not for me I am afraid unless the provenance is bulletproof, which these are not.

    Agreed Doug,
    Until any period photo's etc show themselves, I just accept the helmet as a good plain example.

    Out of curiosity, can anybody cross reference the batch number (ET 2138) ?.

    I bought it in denmark for 227,39 USD . i'm from denmark.
    could i be a danish SS volunteers?

    The problem is provenance !
    Post war, many people especially children, would adorn "bring back" helmets and play with them.

    Thus, without photographic evidence etc ... these helmets have to be taken with a "pinch of salt".
