1938 Spange Kreuz 2 klass Real or Fake
I was at a show this past weekend and came across this Spange. I did a bunch of looks at it, but decided to pass on it. The price was quite a bit lower that some dealers on line and also some of the know dealers at show. What caused me some concern was the swastika, it looked pitted and not flat. Vendor had three of them all with ribbons. Ribbons looked correct to me. Wonder that the board thinks. Thanks

Swastika lacks definition. I'd say it was dodgy. But always better to handle them to know for sure. The ribbon however looks original, if you'd had a WW1 EK2 that needed some it may even have been worth the price?
I suspect that this one will have an L/11 marked in the middle of the reverse.
Some feel that this is a post war copy, some believe it to be an original war time produced spange.
You should be able to lift the ribbon enough to get a look at the reverse middle.
