1939 Spange zum Eisernen Kreuzes 1er Klasse 1914

Just in! A purchase from a friend of mine. A 1939 Spange for the WWI Iron Cross 1st Class. I'm curious to know the maker if possible.

I´d say it´s a Raptor. The best of all EK1 spangen fakes. I used to have one too.

So your saying it's a fake spange?

It´s an outstanding copy of Schickle spange. From obverse, it is almost unbeatable for beginner (and even for intermediate), but reverse tells the story. Different silhouette of wreath (and of head as well), slightly different pin and (for beginner this is the most visible feature) the different angle of wings cut at inside corners (near the head). Original Schickle has sharp angle (let´s say 75-80 degrees), Raptor has right angle (90-95 degrees). As seen on my pic.

This used to be mine Raptor. Bought as a fake, sold as a fake. In between, I did a lot of study on it.

The guys is right this is a fake
