    Hello All,
a couple of not very clear seller pictures I have received have me fairly convinced that this is a type B Mayer spange.

I took the plunge and am awaiting it's arrival.

    Any opinions welcomed.
I'll do some better pictures when it arrives.

    Hi Doug,

I agree, it's a good unmarked 2nd model Mayer spange.

    Regards, Ned.

    Thanks Ned,
I'm waiting for it to arrive and i'll get some better pictures.
Unusually (I think) for a Mayer it actually looks like it may have been issued and worn unlike thezillions of cased sets that seem to be around.

    Hello again,
well the spange arrived and as I thought it is a nice 2nd model B type Mayer with the veins.
Half of the hinge is loose but I guess it adds a little to the character.
Thank you all once again for your input.

    All the best
    Doug
