Re: 1957 EK2 - Steinhauer & Luck marked.
Adrian,
Wow! Minty and marked!
that is a very fine addition to your collection, congratulations.
I've been after an early 57 EK2 for ages (not even a marked one) and I cannot seem to find one. There was one on the WAF estand recently, but the price seemed excessive (to me). 5 or 6 years ago they seemed to be everywhere.
Can you recommend any site where I might find one?
Regards - Danny

Cheers Danny, I happened across this one purely by chance but will keep my eyes open for one for you.

Adrian...nice mm EK II ! looks like 57er EK II's were also worn as RK's, as in the TR period....also by using a 2nd class ribbon, as on my TR version !
Prost ! Steve.
Thank you Steve, it's the first time I've come across a '57 EK2 set up to be worn as a RK but I'm guessing the supply of regular '57 RKs wasn't as prohibative as TR examples so I'm sceptical that this was worn as such - but there is no way of knowing of course......
