Hi adrian, really nice and unique cross you got there~~
but why the texture on each side of the center core looks different?
I can only think that the core is made in two halves and each half was finished differently, put into stock and them assembled at a later date. The worker picked a front and back half, assembled the cross and didn't pay much attention to the finish of the two pieces.

    great, is it heavy?
I don't know the exact weight but there is no discernable difference between this and any other cross.

It's taken some time and probably six of those last eight are the rarest and most expensive!

That's a nice example Nick. The paint on the core appears consistent on both sides with yours.
