I can't find any maker with this type of hinge? The pin also looks strange along with the position of the date. The 3 seems to be lower than the rest of the numbers. Can anyone help with the maker? Or is this a fake and i'm just not seeing it?

Thank you. Would it be correct to say that it is a war time souval judging by the rounded corners and dipping three?

To be honest I'm not sure. I can't remember seeing a wartime Souval with the swastika on a pedestal. That said, I don't know if this is a feature of post war Souval EKs either.

The dipping three is indicative of wartime manufacture though.

I'm not too enamored with the shifted core either on this one. I would avoid it as well, although I've always liked the brass EK's!
