Hello. I purchased this Iron Cross at a gun show. The story is the dealer was selling it for a friend who is not a dealer, and the friend's father picked it up and several other decorations while serving in WWII in the ETO. I have attached the best pics I could get of it. It is three piece construction, seams show diagnal striations from using a file to smooth the edges. The center is magnetic. The swastika is about even with the piping on the inside edge. The 1939 is slightly lower than the piping. The construction is tight but I was able to slide a dollar bill under several areas between the silver and the center. The back, as shown, has a coke bottle pin and is maker marked 65. On the back of the cardboard "pillow" is 621KB. The dealer said his friend was asking $400, but would take $300. So I took a big chance and paid the $300. My question is, did I get a good deal and an authentic Iron Cross First Class????
