I'd like to here everyones thoughts on this cross im thinking about, the cross is mint but the core looks rusted underneath? due to where it was stored?

Personally, I am not keen on the images, which are far too bright. I'm not certain but as a result, the detail doesn't appear quite as sharp as I would expect to see in a period made example.

Nothing at all wrong with that one.
The cores on these crosses are commonly found with rust problems, in fact, yours is one of the better examples I have seen.

Nice crisp EK1,lovely case too.
Nothing wrong here, an original set in nice condition. Keep it in a stable and non humid environment and the rust shouldn't get worse.
After all, if that's all there is after seventy odd years, it will still be better looking than you in another seventy!
Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....

As for it being humid i can't recall it ever being humid lol.
