    Default Could this Ritterkreuz be genuine?

    Some guy from a nearby town is selling this and i thought i should ask you first for more details.

    I looked at this photo and it seems odd to me that on the middle part of the cross, where the black paint is chipped off, the metal is still shiny, i have never seen live a knight's cross so that is the main reason why i am asking for help. I do not know exactly how to differ fake oak leaves from genuine ones.
    So any help would be greatly appreciated.

    The first thing that jumps out is the rounded inner corners next to the swastika. No original RK has been found with corners like that.
    No matter what some might have you believe.

    Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....

    i see, i have compared it to my 2nd class ek and i have not spotted this clue.
