Eisernes Kreuz 1 Klasse "26" for opinions

Looking at an EK1 marked "26" (B.H. Mayer?). Was hoping to get feedback on anything that looks questionable on it. I feel fairly good about the medal, the case isn't of a style I've seen on cased examples I've found from this maker with that beveled edge around the white inside tray, and the round push button case catch. But, examples of cases weren't numerous that I found, so that may not be saying much.

So this case is right for a "26"? The cases I'm seeing with these seem to look like this one from Militaria Berlin, which is why I hesitate...





If this isn't a real concern, the seller is asking $475, which seems like it might be a tad high, but I know condition counts for a lot.

$475, in my opinion, is far too much. The case May be good, but why is there no impression of the cross on the inside of the cover? There is no impression on the velvet either, which makes me wonder if it was a new old stock case that someone simply married to what looks like an unissued EK1(possibly a Russian Hoard piece?)

Thanks for the reply William. That certainly comes along with my concerns on if the case should be with this award. They're lovely on their own, but I'd like to get one set that all belongs together. Perhaps this isn't it...
