Re: Eki.
Dammit. Apparently I had my "caps lock" on when I typed EKi. Now I must execute myself. EKI! EKI! EKI! ek1! BAM!

Nick-please go on, sah. Please.

Re: Eki.
Nick-bitte, will you please give me a bit more info on K&Q? I swear I'll give you a freshly popped Augustiner bier.

Re: Eki.
It stood for the firm Klein und Quenzer

Re: Eki.
Thanks all for your input. Sorry it took so long for me to respond to this thread. I'm going back through my uploads and thanking those I forgot to thank! You all have been very informative and friendly. I pretty much gave up this hobby back in 2006 until earlier this year when my wife took me to a (it was a surprise!) military flea market here in Germany and I bought a Krim Shield. The bug struck again and then I found this forum (by chance). Finally, people I can share with and discuss! Prost to you all.

Re: Eisernes Kreuz 1. Klasse mit etui.
I must've missed this one first time round. I've changed the thread title so you don't need to take any more drastic action.
That date and frame beading isn't shouting Klein & Quenzer at me either. Does anyone else think it's a K&Q?
Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....

Nope!
I could well be wrong and it may just be the pictures, but it doesn't look like any K&Q I know of....
but I am damned if I can say what else it could be!

That date looks familiar but I haven't got any reference material to hand currently.
