Eisernes Kreuz 1. Klasse real or fake?

I've been offered this but having only just started collecting I'm not sure it's an original or not.
Any thoughts?

It looks ok to me. The clasp has obviously been repaired which in my view supports the originality because I don't think this work would have been done to a fake?
Your opinions would be appreciated

I would pass on this because of the poor state and spend a little extra on a better cross

Agree with Nick on the maker but for me, if it were cheap enough, it might be a good representative example if your budget is tight.

Thanks guys but unfortunately I think it'll be too expensive for its condition. I'm looking for a cheaper "representative" example until I'm more experienced but these seem to be difficult to find

Three pice construction with some damage to the top and repairs to the catch.
I think it's a representative piece but for £55 in really happy with it!
