If the core is all covered with rust and in the same condition as this one, I would not pay more..
I have seen relic EK2's for sale for about 20€ if I remember right. I like them in good condition, so I don't look after the relics.
You can buy unmarked examples in good condition for 60€, so if you like them a bit salty, you can get them for around 40-50€.
I will let you know when I see one.
Yes, I think Butschek is too expensive. He a good dealer and have a lot of nice stuff, but he sometimes list a normal mint EK2 for 150-200€!!
That is crazy.
I have just looked through Klaus's site. It's long time since my last visit.
The price are about 70-75€ for a unmarked and 85-90 for a marked.
I would pay the extra few € for the crosses, if they have a uncommon maker.
For a new collector that are afraid to buy fakes, Butschek will be a very good place.
Better to pay a little more but have a guarantee for originality.
I mostly go for the very rare and mint examples, and IMO he is too expensive with them.
Thank you for the information!
I bought my first EK2 last month from Germany for 20 euros.
Hello!
I have just gonne to the Klaus`s store. He puts the price a little bit expensive, don`t you think?
I would say Klaus' prices are at the upper end of the scale but they aren't over priced. You also get the additional reasurance that Klaus will make any problems right and you can buy with confidence. His mint crosses are very expensive but like anything, you can shop around until you find an item that you're happy with at a price you're willing to pay.
Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....
