Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....
Good eyes Adrian! I never would have seen that. The dates on Ralph's cross show some similarities with the ones on a K&Q.
Regards
Thanks Ingrid, you are right, there are similarities on the obverse date but the sharp 'hook' on the '3' is not found on K&Q dates.
Below is a montage of dates found on K&Q cores put together by Robert Pierce. Some are different by design following re-working or new dies and some reflect die wear giving the impression of a re-worked die.

Hi Nick,
I think I will keep this one and mark it for what it truly is and continue to keep my eyes open for another unmarked, nice K&Q.

Hi Ralph,
That's a great Hauschild cross alright (well spotted Adrian!).
Sorry you couldn't see my image of the other forum - (damned external photo hosting site, I spent ages uploading all the different PKZ makers crosses and very few of them are there anymore).
Anyhow, here's the image of my one again (since sold off, but hey, I can still show my pictures!)
Regards - Danny
Thanks Danny!
Still sorry to hear that you had to sell off a lot of your collection.
Ralph.
