A nice piece in very good condition Ingrid. The most common LDO marked EK2 but still not easy to find. Well done on your new acquisition!

Hi
Whoops! I just thought that as they seem to always be in good condition so I thought that was due to the quality control. Thanks for pointing that out Adrian!

I need the bathroom.
A couple of years ago I didn't own any medals or militaria, it was only after doing my family tree that I went mad.
Now I known eight EK2's and whilst I love the history, sometimes the story, or even the ownership, I can't help admiring a minty EK1/2. I have a mixture of both minty's and ones with nice worn and well worn patina. I can see why some people may collect one or the other but have to say I'm a sucker for the sparkles.
I showed my son one of my Murray's (Mints) when he was up and he asked if it was a repro. "No Son, just an issued, unworn and looked after EK2".
And they all take pride of place on a wall, although I'm now thinking of an extension. Shhh!
